1. Uganda DPPA 2019 Statutory Compliance
Ve Technologies Ltd is registered as a Data Controller and Data Processor under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (DPPA) administered by the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO). We process personal information exclusively under the principles of accountability, lawfulness, minimization, and security.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to facilitate safe commerce: Name, phone number (MTN/Airtel), delivery address in Kampala, transactional order history, and ephemeral photos uploaded voluntarily for Try-On sizing.
3. Try-On Photo Privacy & Security
Try-On photos are strictly private. They are processed on-device or in transient encrypted secure memory, never sold to advertisers, never visible to merchants, and never published publicly.
Users can delete their Try-On silhouette at any time with a single tap in the application settings.
4. Payment & Mobile Money Data
We do not store PIN numbers or bank account passwords. All Mobile Money prompt authorizations are mediated through regulated Ugandan payment switches certified to PCI-DSS Level 1 standards.
6. Your Rights & Data Erasure
Under DPPA 2019 Sections 24 to 28, you have the right to access, rectify, object to processing, or demand erasure of your personal data at any time.
Requests for complete profile erasure are executed within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt.
